Why did you become a tennis coach?
I was 13 when I started assisting my coach with my little sister’s ‘sponge ball’ tennis classes – totally loved it. So alongside playing and education I continued to take every coaching course available to me and have coached ever since.
What do you like the most about being a tennis coach?
Giving someone the self-belief and know how that they can get better at tennis – any age, any standard.
What is your favourite Grand Slam to watch?
Slams always have such a heightened sense of occasion so I love them all but Wimbledon tops it for me.
What are you most looking forward to about being involved in She Rallies?
Being able to share the spirit of girls having fun in the sport I love, hopefully inspiring them to continue on playing and/or coaching.
What is your tennis coaching pet hate?
None really, except when the court next door try to steal your balls!
If you could have one superpower what would it be?
To be able to turn back time so I could perhaps appreciate more of the smaller things, and undo my burnt cooking!
If you could invite three female tennis stars, past or present to a dinner party, who would they be?
Althea Gibson, Serena Williams and Judy Murray – all brought something huge to Womens tennis.
