Why did you become a tennis coach?
I’ve come back into coaching later in life but wanted to return to teaching the sport I have loved since being 9 years old! I hope to impart some of my knowledge and enthusiasm for the sport to people of all ages….from 2 to 90!
What do you like the most about being a tennis coach?
I love seeing people enjoy the sport whether it’s one of my ladies teams or the little 2 year old lad who’s profoundly deaf but absolutely loves running round the tennis court hitting balloons with a huge grin on his face!
What is your favourite Grand Slam to watch?
Definitely the tradition of Wimbledon!
What are you most looking forward to about being involved in She Rallies?
Seeing more women and girls getting into and enjoying tennis! For me, if you’re into the sport…it’s a sport for life!
What is your tennis coaching pet hate?
Coaches who are clearly bored on court!
If you could have one superpower what would it be?
To turn players into a Wimbledon winner for one day only!
What one country in the world would you most like to coach tennis in?
I’m quite happy juggling the various weather challenges that the UK throws at us….and still making the show go on!
If you could invite three female tennis stars, past or present to a dinner party, who would they be?
Martina Navratilova, Chris Evert and Johanna Konta
